    Dessima Williams ambassador of Grenada to the United Nations

Dessima Williams is the Ambassador of Grenada to the United Nations. Prior to her appointment, she was a professor of Sociology and Social Policy at Brandeis and served as Grenada's ambassador to UNESO and to the Organization of American States.

She is also the founder and director of the Grenada Education and Development Program (GRENED), as well as the co-founder of HAITIwomen. 

She received a PhD in inernational relations and a master's degree in international development from American University. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Minneosta in international relations.
