  • Montana Mathieu director, IDIO Gallery

IDIO Gallery is the radical host to experimental art and music in New York.  Directed by artist Montana Simone Mathieu, IDIO is a gallery space, music/performance venue and artist studios, located between iron and auto workshops in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The 100-year-old space was once a horse barn, a rave dungeon and most recently, a gallery named Idiosyncrasy, founded by Mary Evelyn Pritchard in 2012. Reborn as IDIO Gallery in May 2015, the space aims to foster iconoclastic arts, challenging thought and an experience of freedom in a time of consumerist conformism.
