Pentagon Spending in Georgia

Georgia ranked 14th in the country in terms Pentagon awards during FY2014, receiving $6.4 billion . It received $624 in contract awards per capita, which ranked 22nd among the 50 states.  Comparatively, Georgia received $5.6 billion in FY2013. As Georgia’s GDP was $456.5 billion in FY2013, the most recent year for which state GDP figures are available, DoD contracts accounted for approximately 1.2% of Georgia’s GDP in 2013.
